FAILURE DURING NORMAL OPERATION
If a failure is detected during normal operation, the machine will stop, the programme sequence
LED where the failure occurred will flash and the speed indicator LED's will illuminate in a
pattern to indicate the fault code.

Fault = 1
Detected Malfunction = Water not entering or not detected
Perform the following = Check tap, cold inlet valve, pressure switch

Detected Malfunction = Drain failure or not detecting empty drum

Before requesting repair, check the following points one more time.
Abnormality alarm : when the following cases occur, you will be alert by flashes of indicators and sound of buzzer.

Symptoms = Not running
Indicator flashes =
Check items = 1. Check if electricity is cut off? 2. check if fuse or circuit break is blown? 3. check if power cord is properly plugged?
Restart = 1. Make sure power is on. 2. Make sure the power cord is properly plugged.

Symptoms = Not filling in water
Indicator flashes = C1 (Not filled with water after 30 minutes)
Check items = 1. Is the water tap closed? 2. Is city water frozen or water supply stopped? 3. Does dust clog the screen in the water supply inlet?
Restart = Press START/PAUSE button and eliminate the cause of the trouble.

Symptoms = Not draining
Indicator flashes = C2 (Drain isn't completed with in 10 minutes)
Check items = 1. Is the drain hose crushed? 2. Is the remaining water in the built-in drain hose frozen?
Restart = Press START/PAUSE button and eliminate the cause of the trouble.

Symptoms = Not spinning
Indicator flashes = C3
Check items = Is the lid open?
Restart = Close the lid

Symptoms = Not spinning
Indicator flashes = C4
Check items = Are clothes placed to one side?
Restart = Evenly distribute the load and close the lid

If warning signs to tell you some failure or trouble, such as "F0" and "F9" are generated, immediately stop operating the washer and contact an authorized service dealer or a service agent for further inspection and or repair.

Information codes may be displayed to help you better understand what is occurring with your Washer.

CODE SYMBOL = dc
MEANING = Unbalanced load prevented your Washer from spinning
SOLUTION = Redistribute the load, press the Start/Pause Button.

CODE SYMBOL = dL
MEANING = Door is unlocked when Washer is running.
SOLUTION = Press the Power button to turn off your Washer, then restart the cycle. If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = d5
MEANING = Door is open when Washer is running.
SOLUTION = Close the door tightly and restart the cycle. If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = Hr
MEANING = Water temperature control problem. (Heater Control problem)
SOLUTION = Call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = LE
MEANING = Your Washer has tried to fill but has not reached the proper water level.
SOLUTION = Call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = L0
MEANING = The door will not unlock.
SOLUTION = Make sure the door is firmly closed.
Push the Power button to turn off your Washer, then turn it on again. If the code reappears, call
for service.

CODE SYMBOL = E3
MEANING = Motor not running properly
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle pressing the Start/Pause Button. If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = nd
MEANING = Your washer is not draining.
It can also mean that the unit senses a small clog while draining.
SOLUTION = Before calling for service, check the following.
1) Turn off the unit and turn it on again.
2) Select only the Spin Cycle.
3) Press the Start/Pause to drain the water.
If it still does not drain, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = nF
MEANING = Your Washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful
SOLUTION = Make sure the water faucets are open all the way. Check for kinked hoses.
Check the inlet screens on the fill hoses.

CODE SYMBOL = 5r
MEANING = Problem with control
SOLUTION = Call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = PF
MEANING = Electric service was lost when Washer was running.
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle by pressing the Start/Pause Button.

CODE SYMBOL = 0E
MEANING = A fault is detected in the water level sensor.
SOLUTION = Call for service

CODE SYMBOL = E2
MEANING = Jammed Key.
SOLUTION = Call for service

CODE SYMBOL = bE
MEANING = Motor speed sensor problem.
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle.
If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = tE
MEANING = Temperature sensor problem.
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle.
If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = 3E
MEANING = High current detected.
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle.
If the code reappears, call for service.

MEANING = High/Low voltage detected.
SOLUTION = Restart the cycle.
If the code reappears, call for service.

CODE SYMBOL = 5d
MEANING = Too many suds are detected during the washing session.
The unit is put on hold until the suds are reduced. Then, the unit will go back to the operation.
When it finishes washing, End and Sd codes will blink in turn.
SOLUTION = To prevent it, cut down on detergents.

If you press the [Start/Pause] button when an error in displayed, any error except S/W ERROR will
disappear and the machine will change into pause status.
In case of "PE, tE and dE" if the error is not resolved within 15 sec. In case of other errors, if the
error is not resolved within 4 min.
Power will be turned off automatically and the error only will be blinked.
But in the case of "FE", power will not be turned off.

ERROR = Water inlet error
SYMTOM = IE
CAUSE = Water has not reached to the pre-set level within 4 min. since valve operated, or water has not reached to the normal level within 25 min.

ERROR = Imbalance error
SYMTOM = UE
CAUSE = 1. The appliance is tilted. 2. Laundry is gathered to one side. 3. Non distributable things are put into the drum


ERROR = DRAIN ERROR
SYMTOM = 0E
CAUSE = Water has not drained enough within 8 min.

ERROR = OVERFLOW ERROR
SYMTOM = FE
CAUSE = Water is automatically being pumped out because too much water is in the tub

ERROR = SENSOR PRESSURE S/W ERROR
SYMTOM = PE
CAUSE = The sensor pressure switch is out of order.

ERROR = DOOR OPEN ERROR
SYMTOM = dE
CAUSE = The (Start/Pause) button is pressed with the door open. The door switch is out of order.

ERROR = HEATING ERROR
SYMTOM = tE
CAUSE = The thermistor is out of order.

ERROR = CURRENT ERROR
SYMTOM = CE
CAUSE = PWB ASSEMBLY (Main) is out of order, Replace the PWB assembly (Main)
Winding in the MOTOR is short-circuited. Replace the MOTOR

ERROR = LOCK ERROR
SYMTOM = LE
CAUSE = The Connector (3-pin, male, white) in the wire harness is not connected to the Connector (3-pin, female, white) of MOTOR. Reconnect or repair the connector
The electric contact between the connectors [ 3-pin, male, white in
the wire harness and 6-pin, female, white in the PWB ASSEMBLY
(Main) ] is bad or unstable. Reconnect or repair the contact in the connector
The wire harness between the MOTOR and PWB ASSEMBLY
(Main) is cut (open circuited).
The hall sensor is out of order/defective

ERROR = POWER FAILURE
SYMTOM = PF
CAUSE = The washer experienced a power failure

When an error occurs, this function starts to keep generating error melody sounds and displays error
indicators as shown in the followings per corresponding error by blinking in 0.5sec interval until the error status
is completely cleared out. In this case, all the driving devices are turned off until the error is cleared out.

1. WATER SUPPLY ERROR
- Water Supply Error occurs when water level frequency does not show changes more than 50Hz or water
is not supplied up to the water level presetting for 20 min or more at the time of initial water supply, the
error status can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF and resuming the POWER ON initial status.
- Display shows ‘E1’.

2. WATER DRAIN ERROR
- In case the water level frequency is 25.3KHz or less in the initial phase of UNB-detecting cycle.
- Water Drain error can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF and resuming the POWER ON initial status.
- Display shows ‘E2’.

3. OVER-FLOW ERROR
- Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is in abnormal operation (OVER-FLOW: 22.40KHz/50ߧ or
more). It can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER S/W OFF and it
is forced to be drained for 2 min if a frequency of more than 25.24 KHz is detected.
- Display shows ‘E3’.

4. DOOR OPEN ERROR
- Door Open error can be cleared by closing the door.
- Display shows ‘door’.

5. UNBALANCE ERROR
- Unbalance error is cleared by POWER S/W OFF and by resuming the POWER ON initial status.
- Display shows ‘E4’.

6. WATER HEATER ERROR
- In case the water temperature varies by 40°C or more in 5 min, or by 2°C or less in 10 min after heating is started.
- It can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF.
- Display shows ‘E5,E6’.

7. ASS’Y PRESSURE S/W ERROR
* Generated Frequency Signal of WATER LEVEL(W/L) S/W (KHz)
Level = Abnormal W/L Frequency
Low Level = 30.00 KHz
High Level = 15.00 KHz

8. ABNORMAL WATER TEMPERATURE ERROR
Course = Synthetic
Water Temp = 60°C or more

Course = Delicate
Water Temp = 50°C or more

Course = Wool
Water Temp = 40°C or more

- In case the water temperature is 60°C or more in the synthetic course, 50°C or more in the delicate
course, and 40°C or more in the wool course.
- At the time of initial water supply, if the water temperature is not appropriate, water starts to be drained
and it is forced to be drained for 2 min when the abnormal frequency of 25.24KHz is detected.
- Display shows ‘E8’.
- This error can be cleared by POWER S/W OFF.

This washing machine is equipped with automatic safety functions which detect and diagnose faults at an
early stage and react appropriately
When the machine does not function properly or does not function at all, check the following points before
you contact your service provider.

Symptom = Rattling and clanking noise
Possible Cause = • Foreign objects such as coins or safety pins maybe in drum or pump.
Solution = Stop washer and check drum and drain filter.
If noise continues after washer is restarted, call your authorised service centre..

Symptom = Thumping sound
Possible Cause = • Heavy wash loads may produce a thumping sound. This is usually normal.
Solution = If sound continues, washer is probably out of balance. Stop and redistribute wash load.

Symptom = Vibrating noise
Possible Cause = • Have all the transit bolts and packing been removed?
• Are all the feet resting firmly on the ground?
Solution = If not removed during installation.
Refer to Installation guide for removing transit bolts.
Wash load may be unevenly distributed in drum.
Stop washer and rearrange wash load

Symptom = Water leaks.
Possible Cause = • Fill hoses or drain hose are loose at tap or washer.
• House drain pipes are clogged.
Solution = Check and tighten hose connections.
Unclog drain pipe. Contact plumber if necessary.

Symptom = Oversudsing
Possible Cause =
Solution = Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent may cause excessive foaming which may result in water eaks.

Symptom = Water does not enter washer or it enters slowly
Possible Cause = • Water supply is not adequate in area.
• Water supply tap is not completely open.
• Water inlet hose(s) are kinked.
• The filter of the inlet hose(s) clogged.
Solution = Check another tap in the house.
Fully open tap.
Straighten hose.
Check the filter of the inlet hose.

Symptom = Water in the washer does not drain or drains slowly.
Possible Cause = • Drain hose is kinked or clogged.
• The drain filter is clogged.
Solution = Clean and straighten the drain hose.
Clean the drain filter

Symptom = Washer does not start
Possible Cause = • Electrical power cord may not be plugged in or connection may be loose.
• House fuse blown, circuit breaker tripped,or a power outage has occurred.
Solution = Make sure plug fits tightly in wall outlet.
Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Do not increase fuse capacity.
If problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.
Turn on water supply tap.

Symptom = Washer will not spin
Possible Cause = * Check that the door is firmly shut.
Solution = Close the door and press the Start/Pause button.
After pressingthe Start/Pause button, it may take a few moments before the clothes washer begins to spin.
The door must lock before spin can be achieved.

Symptom = Door does not open
Possible Cause =
Solution = Once started, the door can not be opened for safety reasons.
Wait one or two minutes before opening the door to give the electric locking mechanism time to release.

Symptom = Wash cycle time delayed
Possible Cause =
Solution = The washing time may vary by the amount of laundry, water pressure, water temperature and other usage conditions.
If the imbalance is detected or if the suds removing program works, the wash time shall be increased.

Possible Cause = • Water supply is not adequate in area.
• Water supply taps are not completely open.
• Water inlet hose(s) are kinked.
• The filter of the inlet hose(s) are clogged.
Solution = Check another tap in the house.

Symptom = 0E
Possible Cause = • Drain hose is kinked or clogged.
• The drain filter is clogged.
Solution = Clean and straighten the drain hose.
Clean the drain filter.

Symptom = UE
Possible Cause = • Load is too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The appliance has an imbalance detection and correction system.
If individual heavy articles are loaded (ex. bath mat, bath robe, etc.) this system may stop spinning or even interrupt the spin cycle altogether.
• If the laundry is still too wet at the end of the cycle, add smaller articles of laundry to balance the load and repeat the spin cycle.
Solution = Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load.
Rearrange load to allow proper spinning

Possible Cause = • Is the door opened?
Solution = Close the door.
If “ dE ” is not released, call for service.
